Did you say Blog or Glog?

Web 2.0 Tools--How many do you recognize?
Now that we're beginning to get our cyberfeet wet with blogs, we should look around for other online tools that are out there for us to explore.  These tools are often referred to as "Web 2.0 tools" which means they are part of the second generation of internet resources that involve the viewer to participate much more actively.

You already know many of these Web 2.0 tools like Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube.  Now that you're a Blogger, you're even Web 2.0 user.  But have you heard of a Glog? If not, you're in for a treat.

Remember those posters you used to complete for class projects?  You know, you had to cut out the pictures and captions and then glue them on.  For some reason I always ran out of glue at the wrong moment.

Well, with a glog those days are long gone.  Think of it as a digital poster where you can add pictures and text.  Not only that, you can even take your own pictures and upload them to your glog.

As with many Web 2.0 tools, glogs also have the ability to upload videos and audio tracks.  You can either make them on the spot or find them from other online tools.  With images, videos, text and audio, you'll soon create your own Glog masterpiece in no time.  Don't believe me?  Check out the glog that I made on Freak the Mighty:
